Arte Total is a structure for creation, production and mediation of audiences dedicated to contemporary artistic practices, created in 1992.The three domains: creation, programming and public mediation actions complement and articulate each other, contributing with their specific content and technology to a total project that carries a feminist poetics, aligning itself with an ethical stance, aesthetics and politics of resistance and creation of other possible figurations for the body and its subjectivity.It is a partner with the Municipality of Braga for the promotion and social inclusion through the arts in public schools and artistic creation, it belongs to REDE, it collaborates with Theatro Circo in the dissemination, promotion and creation in the area of ​​performing arts, it supports and develops projects with the Monastery de Tibães, Museu dos Biscaínhos, develops residencies with Gnration and works directly in artistic projects with the University of Porto, University of Minho and the International Nanotechnology Laboratory.Arte Total maintains ongoing cooperation work with other sectoral areas such as BragaMob, in the European professional training exchange and PracticalCapacity in advising on workers physical condition and environmental sustainability. It is a partner of Braga Media Arts| UNESCO and cooperated with the Braga’27 project in the CEC 27 candidacy.After 30 years of regular work supported by the Municipality of Braga and with financial support from the Portuguese Government through the Ministry of Culture-General Directorate of Arts since 1998, it maintains an activity focused on contemporary artistic production that favors work of an experimental nature and outside the circuits. commercials.Combining performance with the visual arts, dance with music or digital technologies with the creation of work processes and research in dance, the Arte Total Activity Plan has included absolute national and international premieres, informal presentations of the creation process, interventions in public space and in particular social sectors, exploring the dialogue between different artistic proposals, the city space and the public that lives there.
